The best way to Big 3????

im a noob to car audio. i want to upgrade my electric so im debate which would best.

either install a second alternator and have that directly hooked up to my second battery

or upgrade my current alternator

its for an ford ecape 4cyclinder and extra battery is from a Grand Marquis

I have a hifonics 2608 i plan on upgrading my amp so i can get subs that has 2000 rms

First off to be to do the big 3 with the biggest wire you can get your hands on and then I would how bad the voltage drop is.

If it drops to low then I would upgrade the alternator but I wouldn't add a second alternator...

Also, you can run multiple batteries off one alternator.

yea i have been running both batteries off my stock alternator but my lights still dim a lil with heavy bass songs only tho

i have 0/1 gauge wire running from my stock battery to my extra battery in the back in line fuse

and yea i put a wet cell battery in my car.....it may not be the best thing to do but its working
