I want to get L-O-U-D and I need your help with what to do. I've included a pic of old Betsy and the budget can't be more than a case of old Natty light, Nautral light for those not into quantity. Any help is greatly appreciated fellas and may the gods of road kill keep you and yours full:)

Certainly some inginuity used to create that thing. And I thought my truck was long, can only imagine what its like taking that thing to the grocery store.

Awesome....duh! Can you imagine how much food you can get in that thing?
Oh I can imagine, get me a years supply of frozen pizzas and soda all in one trip and still have room for the entire family and MAYBE a subwoofer or 2 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Pearl fines the family wagon quite comfortable. The issue is if I go with the normal sub install will the wavelenght reach the front of the cab at the right phase?

Just need time alignment. However, most tend to not go much past 4-5 feet in range of adjustment. No manufacturer expects a car like yours.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

However, you do gain an interesting side-effect. Because of the (lack of) proximity of the speakers and sitting locations, you can effectively create isolated listening experiences for both the front seat and rear seat passangers without too much multi-speaker interaction. Unlike most cars, you could probably get away with multiple, seperate sound stages.

As far as the subs, you might consider ditching the traditional sub and simply rely on a strong midbass woofer and a little cabin gain to give you good low frequency extention. The downside is you're probably stuck with a 3-way setup or a midbass(think 7"-8", something near a minisub) + small full range (2"-3") setup.

What's the seating layout?

What's your total budget? You got $2k to work with?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I would sort of suggest a high end HU with built in crossovers, lots of amp channels, and 2 or 3 duplicate active setups progressing down the length of the truck, depending on the seating setup, but you sound like you're on a shoestring budget here. You have lots of options, but I don't know if the cheap ones are worth the effort and potential suffering you may have to endure afterwards.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
