The 15" Q switchout is DONE

Ya well.
They are not out yet.

And when they do come out, I will pick them up. NEW. I get them for cheap so no prob. there.

And BP may be a def. possibility
So you are considering? Shweet....Ill make 6 hour trip from college just to hear this beast....have 80 design you a mean box //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

from the way you guys have been speaking about them, they dont seem my style anyhow. Best of luck on your build though. Not all of us can have the courage to be the first to try new things.
I promise you James, you'll like them. Next time Manny's in town, I'll give you a call so you can come hear them.

They really are an unbelievable woofer!

I wanted to go when he installed them the first time but my ****ed kids got in the way of that plan lmao. I'm kinda debating a multiple MX setup since i seem to be the only one that likes them lol

Either 4 of them off 2 Collosus or 2 XXX 15 06 model

Anyways, you're not the only one that likes that MX. I'm with you on that one. It's an unbelivable sub with some wicked lows.

I do like the (2) 06XXX15 idea though. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif

Manny hit a 147.8 with a 43Hz tone on the TermLab Mic this weekend.
Do you think he would go up to a 153.8 - 155.8 with another 12.1?
If you arent braking 150dB with two 15's of that magnatude and 2400w you are doing something wrong. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

and if two of thoes 15's can do a ~148 with only 600w, I dont see why they couldnt do a 153 by giving them4 times the power.

I'm sure you know increasing power can do a lot of funky things though. It can make inductance drop slightly because you are increasing current. It could also make the box start to flex, however that would make the impeadince go down even more. I'm assumeing it is built solid though so that varible should be taken out of the equasion. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

he ran a single 12.1 on it thats not 600 watts unless your talking about per sub. just because you have 2 15s and 2400 watts of power does not automatically mean your getting a said number no matter the install.

I swear i get joy out of when you post

I swear I get joy out of your posts because it shows your ignorance.

12.1 does 1200w@1ohm 600w@2ohm

He has D2 subs

He has them wired to 2ohm

600w total

600/2 = 300

Getting two 12.1's will allow him to run each driver at 1ohm, each getting 1200w (or they may be strappable. I dont know). 1200/300=4times more power.

And if I am speaking about impeadance rise you think I dont understand ohms law and beleive that speakers will get the rated power all of the time. You really underestimate peoples intelegence and over estimate your own.
