ya most of bolivar peninsula is nothing but broken wood and dirt now, thats where all the beach houses are that we all partied at. Its crazy to think of it like that but ive been down to krystal beach and tiki island so many times and now there isnt anything left. Even the businesses down there are destroyed. As for the missing people, i believe over 20,000 people stayed on bolivar and in galveston, which was basically ground zero for the storm. Most couldnt get to the mainland because the surge flooded the freeway and the ferry stopped running 12 hours before the storm even hit. People woke up and couldnt leave. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.giffrom what i saw on TV some places where flattend. what and theres still hundreds of people missen right?
ive talked to a few people that are doing SAR and cleanup and they said that the government isnt going to release the death count until they have a total tally but that they were expecting it to be in the thousands. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif
