Thanks IKE (Damage to my house w/ pics)

So some of you may have noticed that i wasnt on here for the last 3 weeks. We can thank hurricane ike for this, my property received some damage due to it and we didnt have power for a few days and havent had cable/net for this entire time, it just got turned on today. Even as bad as my damage was, i feel lucky compared to many around me, my next door neighbors havent had power for close to 21 days and driving around by my house showed the extent of the damage. Some know that i live pretty much right on the gulf coast, and the way that the newsreporters showed the eye going pretty much over my house. I live in dickinson tx which was hit pretty hard. Many people around here have trees in there homes and those that lived next to the bayou got flooded.

A buddy of mine had 3 feet of water in his home and lost both his shrimping boats he owned. No insurance, another buddy had half his house flood. I lost my fence and carport, a lot of branches and one tree. The house is ok though, and we didnt have any flooding where i was, although my neighbors did say that the water was rising fast, it just didnt get to our homes. Anyway, here are some pics...

ya i wish i would have gotten pics of the surrounding damage when we got back into town, there were trees down everywhere and all the roads were flooded for 2 days after the storm. You should see before and after of bolivar, there is nothing left...
