I think i am goin to enter the SPL competition i don't know if i'll win but i sure want to get metered,are they using TERMlabs? What test tones do they use? How does this work? I have never been metered or competed. please explain in detail

We have 2 termlab meters.

You get 3 runs

1 sweep and 2 actual runs

you can use any tone you want, we supply a cd usually.

so i dont have to bring a cd,how do i know which TT to pick-my sub is tuned to 28hz at about 1200 watts

No, you dont have to bring a CD.

Your first run is a sweep. Its a tone that goes from high to low. The TL mesures the the loudest note. you will want to play that note or close to that note to find your exact peak.

so when he runs the sweep,and its done he shows me the results and i look at the peak and try to use that as close as possible. Do i get some sort of proof on my results like a certificate,or do i have to take a picture

There will be a monitor that you will also be able to see from in the car. You will be told your note directly after your sweep. Tell them you want to take a pic and they can leave it up for you to do so. No certificate.
