test remote wire?

If you already have an amp hooked up, just hook it up like regular. If its not working use a cable to jump the (+) terminal to the remote terminal. If its not working still, either the power wire is bad, or the ground is bad. Or you can just use a dmm, voltmeter, and see if theres 12V flowing when the key is turned on.

 
well i looked at my multi meter, and went mush, i have no clue how to use it.., and I poseted in another thread its getting power.

will play around tommorrow...

 
Set your multimeter to DC voltage (the 'V' with the straight line over it rather than the wavy line) on the range that would be appropriate (the smallest range on the meter most likely)

Ground the black lead to an appropriate ground spot and use the red lead to check the voltage coming out of the remote accessory activation lead.

Viola! Done!

did the jumper wire, and the amp came alive... will change out remote wire in the morning, thanks....
