Tell me what you think or give advice

Haven't really done anything with car audio since I was younger and would consider a system two subs and crappy amp thrown in a trunk. Currently I've tried to piece together an around system since my music listening is just that, all types. Here is what I have so far and what I am still looking for. Nothing besides the head unit is installed so far: Vehicle is a 2001 EB Expedition

H/U : Kenwood KDC-MP638U

Front Doors: Clif Designs CD60.4c component set 6.5

Rear Doors: RE Series 6.5 component set

Amp: Alpine V12 4/3/2+Sub I think MRV-F353

Dynamat: Doors and rear hatch.

Still looking for a sub and deciding if I will build a box to fit in the rear wall to take the place of the factory or a single sealed box.

What I want to limit myself to is:

Only using the single amp, and running only 1 sub, most likely a 10 inch.

As far as the sub: I would like to run a sealed enclosure, keep the RMS within the output on the V12, and I have not decided on DVC 2 ohm, SVC 4 ohm, or running one coil of DVC.

Advice or input is appreciated. I have tried to keep cost relatively low so the wife will not complain much.

Thanks,

coaxials have the tweeter mounted in the middle of the woofer, and don't usually have an external crossover.
Thanks. So their just normal speakers right? cause I see lots of speakers being 2/3/4 way, would think the less lil speakers you have the better right.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

Most coaxials are 2 way, some are 3 but those usually aren't very good.

and I'm not sure what you mean by that...

Thanks everyone. I appreciate the advice on the coax speakers, my main concern was that with using one sub and limiting myself to one amp, the compnents would over power the sub that would meet my criteria.

Running one coil was just a way to open up the options on sub selection. I had read on another site it was possible. I am finding that it is hard to find SVC speakers that I would use or using a DVC2 into 4 would require more rms then the V12 has. I don't want to under power the sub.

What subs would people resomend? I have looked at, not neccessarily in this order, JL 10w1v2-4, Diamond D110.D2.2, Clarion SW1051, Image Dynamics CTX104, Memphis 15-MS104, RE SR10, Zapco i-10, Polk MM2104, etc... Do you see my issue? I can't pull the trigger on which sub to buy.

Thanks,
