you missed the point, completely. im not saying "cali is mo gangsta than u *****z". im saying, shooting someone if they hit you will get you some time in jail, regardless of a self defense claim.

True. And I'm no gangster.....At all. I just take self defense very seriously.

But I'd rather be prepaired, and if 4 people jumped me, I would definately be fighting back by any means necessary. I'm not one of those people that would just pull out a firearm just because someone is threatening me, but there are certain cituations when it would be necessary. And my point is that that situation arrises in other places than just california.
