technical wiring deal......

sure I can try. I know in my head what to do but to explain it might be alittle hard but here goes.

First off you will need to install a switch to turn the other amps on and off.

This is where U might not understand me.

First off wire all the subs to the single amp.

Then you would just run the wires from the other amps to the subs.

Will have alot of wires running forsure.

Then you would have to install a switch on each of the other speaker wires the ones running to the other amps to kill the signal running to them.

Do you know what I mean?

If not I think it might be better if I made a pic to show you.

Ok, the best way in my opinion is this, your going to need a power distribution block. What that is one power going in and four power outputs. You can find them at any car audio place. Tell them the gauges of the wires. Now the power is out of the way, your going to run the patch cable from the head unit to the first amp. The cable is going into the INPUT and from that same amp run another patch cable from the OUTPUT of the amp to the INPUT of the second amp, that continues on through out til the last amp. Then you go to radio shack and buy a power switch. That switch is going to the MAIN power cable (before the power distribution block) and its easy to connect. One connection going to the switch and another connection coming out of the switch. When you look at the switch you can visually see what I'm taking about. Ask the radio shack guy to clear anything about the switch.

a problem with just cutting the power to the amps is if the speaker wires aren't relayed, the single amp will try and force power into the off amps and could hurt the off amps.

you can't just add up power sources to the same line without seperating the lines. It's not efficent, but this should work:

just to edit: in retrospect, you don't need the relays on the sub direclty under the amp that's always on.

realys.. gotta love 'em

The speaker wires from the first amp can NOT feed into the other amps. With the speaker line relays, unless the switch is fliped, the origional circuit is broken. When the switch is flipped, the origional circuit breaks and diverts to the second circuit.
