TC3000 12" came today

I had a chance to put it in a sealed box, the only problem is, the cutout hole was too small. I tried to make it bigger with a rotary tool, but now the hole is too big. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif Air leaks out through the sides, making a nasty fart sound at high volumes.

Because of this, I will refrain from doing a full review of the sub until I tomorrow when I make a new sealed box. It's obviously not opertaing at it's full potential with an air leak around the edges.

However I will say that for the time I listened to it, the sub had a nice flat frequency response (30Hz is as loud as 80Hz) and a controlled, musical sound to it.

BTW, does the surround look a little short to any of you guys? I thought it was supposed to be taller (like an IDMAX's).

Nice! What I'd do if I were you is just cut another front baffle out and glue it over your existing one. More structural integrity and cutout fixed FTW!

I guess TC isnt using the high roll surround anymore.

Its good and bad at the same time.

When you puch on the cone, is it really resistive or does it go down fairly simple ?

It seems like that surround doesnt offer as much x max as the other one...i dont know

you can obviously see that this one is much higher

It is very resistive, doesn't push down nearly as easy as say, an IDMAX would.

IMO the tall surround looks killer!
