where is a good place to get a tc sounds 8" repaired? one of my voice coils is not working on my dvc 8" //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif

does tc sounds do their own repairs? i live about 5 miles away from them here in san diego, if not does anyone else know a place kinda local?

Best bet will be Fi Car Audio but there were a few different baskets (and methods of mounting them) used by TC Sounds that may or may not make this more challenging for you.

Best bet is to send an email to sales @ ficaraudio.com and see what they can do for you.

if its an 8" wont it have a little 12 spoke on it?

does FI even have 8" parts?

and why not just call tc?

i didnt know if they did repair, and its 7.30 at night here, i contacted the guy who i bought from but i was just trying to get some info before i showed up there and looked like an idiot as they told me they only do sales...

You can do it with TC if you'd like.

Yes, Fi (small i) has 8" parts...Scott builds the Ascendant Audio Assassin 8".

At some point, TC used a different method of mounting the baskets that standard 12 spoke baskets won't bolt up to without an adapter of some sort. But it is best to check with Fi (or TC) about that.

ahh... i forgot all about the aa subs... if the mounting is different tho you will prolly have to ship F(i) the motor... so you might be better off just going to TC

iirc, Fi only has a 4 ohm recone that would fit that motor for ~$70-80.

as far as i know , there is no difference between the two , only that one has 6 and the other 8 mounting holes. should be the same parameters.

your best bet if that IS the problem , would be to contact Tc sounds. they are pretty good to deal with (in my experience) and youre right there. you should still be under warranty if it is transferable.

i would also probe the terminals with a dmm just to make sure that it is what it is.
