I have a friend that recently blew an old school stroker 15 D4 wire to an old schoold Rockford 1500 in a 2 cube sealed box with very little use. That is like the third crap Stroker setup I've seen. Cervin Vega blows.

You must be on drugs. Any speaker works in a sealed box. It may not sound it's best sealed but that is certainly no reason for it to blow. Don't say stupid shit like this.

Incorrect my friend. Yes in theory any sub will work in a sub box. But some subs are much more suited for ported and greatly reduces the power handling putting it in a sealed box. Remember Strokers are low excursion HIGH output subs in ported boxes. Extremely stiff. Do not work well in sealed boxes. ANd yes could it still work in a sealed box..... It would need to be in a much larger box then 2 cubes if I remember the strokers correctly

You are an idiot my friend. Old strokers in the lanes were right there with DD and shocker. So is DD crap as well? Maybe your friend doesn't know how to design a box. They dont' like sealed as I said last post and if you do seal them it needs to be a large box. Now if you tell me air space doesn't matter on power handling then you ... well just don't say it

my buddy has a yukon and his whole cargo area is taken up with his box.that box is so dam big i cant see why you would wanna use up all that room for those subs when you can buy some thing the same size and use less space from todays technology. if im not mistaken i think each chamber is 5.5cu/ft ported.thats sick!
