TC Sounds - LMS-R vs AXIS (12")

looking for 2 12s, box is about 4 cubes tuned at 31hz, and power is a crescendo 3k at either .5 or 1 ohm (.5 if i get the LMS-R becuase its dual 2, not sure yet on the AXIS since its quad 1.2 ohm)

ive heard the LMS-R is more SQ/low output, while the AXIS is more for SPL. a little more in depth comparison would be appreciated. i wanna get as loud as i can in the box/power i have, but still MURDER some lows and sound great doing so.

I beat the shit out of my TC 2K's (a little smaller than Axis). The pair takes a Sundown 3Kd at 1 ohm all day long. They took a Stetsom 7Kd for a little while while I was running that (I didn't blow them, I just didn't push them hard for too long).... they got scary loud off the Stetsom.

My experience with the 3" LMS coils is they're good for up to 1KW safely and will start smelling a bit funny after that.

TC3K/Axis used to be rated at 1500W. I'd say they'll take that safely day and night, beyond that use your head, I wouldn't be afraid to have double that on tap.

think ill spend the extra money and get the axis's then. dont wanna have to be THAT careful with the power i have. im sure the axis's will still get low though and sound good right? (even if its not AS low as the LMS will get)

I would look for the old axis, thats what i was referring to.
