do both of the tc2's have coil rub?
Sadly, yes. The only good part about it, is that it happens at the same point for both drivers. Two 10" drivers stroking 1.5 inches will get down pretty good. Especially in a vented enclosure to keep excursion in check.

can you shoot me pics of where solder is needed on the 4000 top?
Here you go, Mike.

Condition is flawless but I received it with a discontinuity on one of the leads. This was a simply a poor connection and not the result of over-excursion. I took an iron to the lead and restored continuity but I don't have any solder for working with aluminum coils so I wasn't able to add any. I've tested the functionality and it's 100% mechanically sound but I DO NOT suggest putting it into service until the lead is serviced with a bit of solder. Otherwise, you will be looking at another failure.

And sorry I didn't get back to you on those cones, yet. I've been trying to track down some paper ones but it's hard to find them with rubbers surrounds large enough.

Someone on caco is looking for a lms top Shane, I told him about this thread but some people are just too lazy to search for it. Go check the wtb section over there and post.

Thanks, Josh. Sounds like he's not a fan of the aluminum cone (probably trying to get loud with it, lol), and technically this one's not fully functional.
No big deal. I'll probably just end up finally getting around to grabbing some proper flux and solder to get it back to 100% again.

I was able to log in fine, using Chrome if that helps. I don't know anything about the product at all, just found the info and shared the love. :)

Brother in law has some of their 8’s and they are little beasts. Typical cookie cutter product that performs as it should.

Off the shelf design, nothing special and will sound like a bull horn. The best pro audio drivers I’ve heard are the crossfire XTpro6’s. The best...
