TC Sounds 5200 owners or past owners I have a question.

we have composite cones if you like, but i wouldn't recone it unless it completely breaks.

pressed fiber glass over acrylic rohacell bonded with epoxy resin... extremely strong and extremely light. Its what we replaced the thin AL cones for our pro audio woofers (like the one in snoopdan's picture) with.

that was probably not a great idea, weakens the former, and the motor is already vented. If you are hoping to prevent damage to the cone, this wont help at all.

Some designs (other manufacturers / older drivers) have the former drilled, but that is their way/attempt of cooling. The TC drivers have the cooling built into the motor and the cooling relies on the former not being vented.

yes, all of it. its amazing how fast things are progressing over there, the factories are remarkable.
