ehh f*ck it......there are people who are interested....you running it at 51HZ daily?
yep I run it daily like that, its a little edgy on the bass notes when playing rock...sometimes doenst play the real low lows on rap very well (like lower than 30hz) but when kickdrums kick around 50 hz, your vision blurs. Ive had pretty high end systems in my cars for the past 20 years, and this is the first one that gives me a headache when I drive around with it turned up any....my inner ear actually hurts after a while.

I did a MECA extreme competition over the weekend (won 1st place too) where they let you do whatever music you want for 2 minutes and take rolling averages by two mics in different places such as the kick and the port...and the 4hp did the 2 minutes flawlessly and never got hot even though I was throwing all my amp had to give at it. This is a well made woofer, TC Sounds FTW //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I'll be putting the 4hp up against the RE MT here soon, i'll post pics and stats of how each did and the variables for them.

no kidding....the lows werent there though huh?...i figured that would hit the lows like crazy.....definitely post the results of the ehad to head with the MT.

Ive already put foam in the back door, its pretty much one solid beer cooler now. My main problem is the top of the truck flexing horribly, but im afraid id loose db's if it deaden it, so this is what happens as it stands now.

Yeah, the rear hatch is fiberglass, I was wondering if you'd done anything to it.

For the roof, you could try pulling down the headliner, and carefullly welding 4 or 5 strips of 1" wide flat stock across the top.

The main reason why the sub isnt putting out the lows like it should, is because its in a 3.5 cubic foot box with a huge vent, if you look at the box pics closely you can see that the sub is disproportionately bigger than it to begin with, and just to get it to fit in the box, I had to file down the top and bottom of the interior so the magnet wouldnt rub //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif ..... box was designed for a 15" Massive Audio DMX, not a 18" 4HP...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

This past weekend at a sound comp, people didnt know what to think of it.....I mean, its not all flashy or anything so people instantly question if its loud.

sure thing, but i was reading your sig, and it says you have a 15" xxx with 6 cubes tuned to 28 hz, if your wanting SPL, why not just make a samller box for that XXx and just tune higher //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif
