Plus- its hard to find a glue that works for the fiberglass/nomex and rubber.. supposedly

So??????? Then you make a formula that DOES......not use some that fails. It seams very unprofesional of TC Sounds to use spare defective parts. Those cone/surround assemblies should have never been used.

I thought that they might of explained this in their sale... hence the ridiculously low prices? But i agree its somewhat unprofessional, even if it was a mistake.

this is only an issue with the 10" OEM correct? the 12" OEM had a different cone and doesnt have this issue does it? i am thinking about buying one so it would be nice to know

oem 12 uses a paper cone i believe. not this cone

yeah. the 15" tc1k is still 200 bucks shipped with the 12" tc2k is 249. Kinda lost on that one if your looking at prices .

not the tc2k the tc2+, it what came out b4 the 1000

I had a woofer with the same surround / cone combo 5 years ago, sold it, and it is still together -- the guy contacted me for T/S not long ago. Wonder if they changed anything since then that made the glue joint less reliable?

I bought my wife a db-500 12'' for $75 and couldn't be happier.It's getting 743 wrms and grabs the bottom octave very well.With almost twice the rated rms going to it,I only smell coil briefly during tones.Not bad for a 2'' vc. I know it's a little off topic but I thought I'd share

P.s. Even though I'm impressed with this sub ,I'm not a big TC fan

same thing happened to my tc kit in 2 different spots. i glued the shit out of it with ca glue and its been good ever since
