TC DB-500 Delivered, 56k warn.

i dont own a meter and my box is tunned at 44hz

with one port plug off 80w. comparing it with my other 10", a alpine type r.

sounds very nice in a direct swap, bass has more of a kick

i guess you could call it more of a sq sub. at the same vol. on my h/u

the r would be louder but the bass a little more sloppy, with the db-500

its more of a defined kick on a note.

i think a few other people ordered them, so lets see what more power

can do with a lower tuned box. =)

 
Given the displacement/dollar this speaker offers, along with the specs and overall design, I don't know why people are complaining.

Who cares if it uses spade terminals. Talk about a non issue as far as drivers go. It's not a multi kilowatt monster, so it's not like you need to be jamming anything over 12-16a into those terminals anyway...

 
It's definitely a great candidate for a vented HT woofer. Low Qts + Low fs = win.

Everything is in transit today...db 500's, kenwood 890 hu, and my 1500 watt hifonics amp..Ill be running 1000rms @ 2 ohms to these little puppies. Should handle great...Ill let ya know with pics and vid...review soon to come!
