If you pay your taxes late with the irs, you get charged late fees! What do we get for them being late? J/K Im glad I didnt go out and blow money I didnt have yet.

I asked my wife if we paid the tax guy with a check and she said yes, so they must just be behind depositing it.

"The IRS said there are a few scenarios that will cause a paper check to be mailed, even if you got your regular tax refund by direct deposit:

If you had a refund anticipation loan or applied for one.

If your tax preparer withheld fees from your refund.

If your bank account was not noted on your tax return.

It doesn't just affect people who got their taxes done for them. Turbo Tax's Web site warns that customer will get a rebate in the mail "if you use a refund transfer when filing your 2007 return."

Nope, Turbotax = Direct Deposit, so you should get yours whenever it says on the IRS site under your social security number for direct deposit.
I got mine the 9th, and stimulated my credit card. Still got a bit left over, might go get a new bass or bass amp.

when i called them and they asked me if we paid the fee thru the refund or just paid it thru our account,they said if the fee taken out of the refund then you would get a check,if you paid it thru your bank it would be direct deposit.

got mine a few days ago for 300... thought it was gonna be 600 based on what everyone was posting.... I filed as a dependant.. make over 3K a year, but under like 20K so I dunno what happened.

Still no deposit for me. Got the letter from the IRS saying how much and that it would be deposited on the 9th. And still nothing. Anybody else in the same situation?

I'm behind schedule as well. Was supposed to be deposited by the 9th also. I'm not really worried about it though. It gets here when it gets here.

i got the deposit before the letter actually. the letter says wait 6 weeks before worrying.

Oh only six weeks, no big deal. What, six weeks! My letter said the same thing but the IRS website says if I dont get it by the 14th to call the 800 number.
