Tax Rebates? What does this mean guys?

The real problems started when outsourcing started.NAFTA and all the trade agreements with foregin businesses ruined it for the working american who is the one that keeps the economy running. Then you got all the CEO's that are making 1.2 million for cutting costs and the cost the cut where the american workers they paid a living wage to and hiring illegal's.That on top of all the kids that think they should come into a job making $14 or its not worth there time.Everyone just wants a handout and thats what the government is doing!
Legitimate outsourcing is not bad in moderation. As a matter of fact, it's very beneficial. It is primarily jobs that take no skill to do that are sent to another country. This reduces the cost of the product or service they are offering to you.

If you are truly not one of these people who are simply looking for a handout, you would pick up a job that cannot be outsourced. Say some sort of trade skill or something that requires knowledge. Mechanic, welder, any college profession...

If the government is butt stuffin you and takes a step back for a second for a breather, only to continue packin it in again, you have to realize your still gettin fukd.
I see this as money that was mine to begin with, and even if I get it back temporarily it will be paid back to the government in time.

ps...I'm a pessimist
Meh...semantics.

The demand for oil/gas/etc is relatively inelastic, that means the demand changes little with the price, but not totally...for instance if you were planning a trip, would you delay the trip if gas was $2/gal vs. $4/gal? So as price decreases demand *somewhat* increases. We buy less fuel effecient vehicles, take more trips, and basically use more fuel in discretion.
The supply of oil is finite and controlled by OPEC. What happens if demand for oil exceeds the supply? Price increases until the two are equalibrium. Well if the price is capped, we continue to demand until supply is exhausted. We essentially run out of gas. That happened in the 70s. The demand for fuel exceeded the supply, and we experienced a fuel shortage.
That again is the government not opening up ANWAR and cutting all the processing facuiltys. The less we can produce the more they can charge for the precieved shortage which is all BS.

If you follow the actions of the capital expenditures of RDC, BP, Exxon, and others...companies are going to more and more remote places in search of oil. I am thinking we have hit peak oil.

Sure we can open up ANWAR, but I'd rather see a cultural change in the US rather than the destruction of enviornments.

Thats why I do HVAC/Maintenace someone is always going to need heating or AC or something fixed!

As for out sourceing being good yes, in moderation but the CEO's are doing it to line there pockets not lower the price for the average american. It's all about the mighty dollar and who can make the most. They may be cheaper but there is always a cost either production, materials, etc. corners have to be cut to make up for the lower wages.

Agreed on the last part...but I cannot agree about how outsourcing is harmful.

The CEOs are doing it to meet the demands of the shareholders. If my stocks didn't try to make me money, I wouldn't own them.

Look at all the shit with China and the bad products coming from there!Or the highway they are proposing for Mexico and the truckers. The standards of other countries just aren't as high as the US.And in the case of China they are a communist country and you know where that leads.

Don't think that cheap labor can't be insourced for skilled/labor jobs just as easy as other jobs get outsourced //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif
