Where is flipx99 at? Maybe he can answer what exactly this means. Is this in addition to our income tax? Or is this going to be our income tax return? Because in this article it says nothing about tax returns, only tax rebates and says that the income tax will be going on at the same time which means we wont get these until june. I believe so.I think they are trying to stimulate the economy by giving everyone a check in hopes they will rush out and spend it and give the false since that the economy isn't in the tank.

Sht, ill take it!! lol, i definantly fall in the criteria. Sounds like pretty much everyone that makes less then 150K a year will get some sort of a check.

How does one qualify?

Individuals who pay income taxes would get up to $600, working couples $1,200 and those with children an additional $300 per child under the agreement. Workers who make at least $3,000 but don't pay taxes would get $300 rebates.

The rebates would phase out gradually for individuals whose income exceeds $75,000 and couples with incomes above $150,000, aides said. Individuals with incomes up to $87,000 and couples up to $174,000 would get partial rebates. The caps are higher for those with children.

I dont even think you have to do that, you get 300 bucks even if you dont pay taxes but make under a certain amount.
