Where in Kentucky are you? I'll try to find some artists online in your area that are worth going to.

Iam in south eastern ky. Monticello. The closet tattoo artist that would be worth going to is Bodean's (spelling?) he is one of the best in the area from what I hear. The other one that is here in town sucks but thats where my gf got hers and she wants to go there, but i was like nope if iam getting one Iam going to a better place.

Im not much into tattoos like I said so I am just gonna get something small to see if I like it. I dont really have any interests other than cars, mainly nissan lol

If they do better work in Bodean, it's worth the drive. Even if they charge a few bucks more, but the quality is better.

Well Bodean's is the dudes name. He is actually located in Somerset which is only like 20 miles from here. He is well known in the area. Not many tattoo artists around here

I thought the town was Bodean lol. Your doing it the right way, if he's well know for his work. When you get there check out his books, they usually always have book with pics of their work. Can probably get a lot of ideas from looken at their past work, you can go in and look at designs then go back later to get yout tatt.

True. I've been trying to get some ideas, but nothing really jumps out at me or looks like me.

I still like the Old English letters, maybe not the crown but i like old english

Check out some of the other tattoo places around your area. Tellem your interested and want to look at their designs. They might have some good designs, or partial pieces you like that you can describe to the guy at Bodean's when you go to get it done.

I always thought it would be cool to get something like a scale as below and have good on one side vs. evil on the other.

I am sure it has been done before I have just been unable to find any pics of it and would really not know what to put on each side.

This would not be bad either but I am assuming it has probably been done many times also

Check out Liquid Addiction in Somerset, KY. There is definitely some good work in the galleries there.

Don't get something small to see if you like it. If you aren't excited about the design, you don't belong in a tattoo chair. Just go to the shop, tell the artist what kind of stuff you're into, and see what they can come up with.
