Abd just for arguments sake.. I could lay 5 black progressive spiders on a table.. from.psi.sundown. dc etc. I doubt anyone could really tell them apart. But they must be different

There would be nothing wrong if it was like a TI or TC woofer. If they come out better that's a big win. What is the RMS rating going to be on the HHD? Also what's the airspace requirement? Please don't say 2.5 minimum, I'm hoping for around 1.75.

was just curious cause i know fi owns the patent for those baskets and we all know JD tried to market his subs with these baskets and was stopped.

t3 audio was not stopped for the baskets...jd decided to shut down for personal resons...scott and a partner own an apperance patent ont the 6 spoke ti baskets and thilo stomper owns an apperance patent on the 4 spoke ti baskets but the tooling is owned by someone else...

JD wasnt stopped for baskets he was stopped from using the baskets. t3 is like tc sounds they open and shut down whenever there is a failure so they dont have to pay for there mistakes.

fi and crossfire own the pat for the 6.

the deal with the baskets is anybody can buy them from overseas they can NOT be sold as a "new" subwoofer in the USA.

I am not sure what the deal is with the "Ti" frame patent specifically. I am assuming that Tantric has worked out a deal to use them with the patent holders.

For an ornamental patent in general -- if I made an identical tool to a covered item and started making them with MY tool I'd still be in trouble. The appearance of the item is protected regardless of how or where it was made or who owns or makes a copy of the mold.

I can quite easily order a patented frame from China but I would not be able to use it in the USA where the patent protects it without an agreement from the patent holder -- at least if they were willing to enforce it.

I don't exactly know the motivation here. But I can't imagine Murphy just talking details on here cause you asked. But I do know its a useless argument. And Jacob I'd say it pretty accurate top to bottom
