Noob question. What are you going to do with the 8 ohm impedance of the woofer? Will you have to wire it as 8 ohm? Or just feed it less power at 4 ohm?

i'd find an amp that does around 750-1000 @ 4 ohms and just wire it to 8ohms

Other than missing out on potential wattage, and paying for power you will never use, none. Call it headroom and relate to SQueers.

Btw, about the sub. Seems pretty nice. I was looking into some of their smaller speakers (5"s for midranges) and they looked to be of good quality.
