Grab a haynes manual from Vatozone. It's tough to say without seeing exactally which style pump/res you have..

the pump and reservoir are one piece on the Z motors. pull the fan shroud, fan blade, belt, pulley and then the 3 front bolts for the pump as well as the side bolt that's kinda behind the pump. drop the pump out and then remove the pressure and return lines. to reinstall reverse steps.

Never worked on a tahoe/silverado; but most gm power steering pumps are sold as one unit with a new reservior included.

I think the regulator holds it to the pump body and once that is removed you can get it off, I think I have a beand new pump with the tank on it in my garage fro sale, did you already buy a new one?
