A little late.. But here.. I know all the NBS chevy/gmc trucks and SUVs do NOT have holes under the badging.. Best/easiest way to remove it is floss or fishing string, a heat gun(hair dryer works great), and goo gone to help get off the stubborn adhesive. There is also a wheel thing from 3m that removes adhesive, attaches to a drill I think, never used it before though.
Just heat it a little, floss off the badge, then try your fingers at the adhesive, if it dosent coem off use the goo gone. Sometimes this takes a while, but stick with it. If theres any problems with paint/color just give it a good polish/scratch remover buff and wax, should help it out a lot.
This is how I removed them off my truck and it worked great. You can use the same method for the side molding(door ding guard stuff). I waited till summer for the side molding and it was hot enough I could just peel it off with ease.
