Table saw recommendations?

proabbly around 2 to 3 hundred. will that get me something decent.

i also want to get a router and table but that will come a little later.

if there is an obious reason to spend a little more than 2 to 3 then i'll do it. i know the value of good tools.

Noooooooo!!!!!!

I hate jigsaw jobs.

You can get a fairly inexpensive 10" contractor table saw within that price range, lowes/home depot may have some within that price range, or best would be to find a used delta contractor saw. For easiest construction get one with a T square fence so its easy to get straight cuts. It will have one clamp on one side and be shaped like a 'T', and will have some ajustability to get straight cuts.

Some of the really cheap brands have crappy fences that clamp on both sides and you have to measure from each side of the blade to get a straight cut. Those types ****.

Well you will have to spend about $500 for a decent contractor saw, but you can get something like this for about $200. (Skil 3400-08)

I used one of these for sometime, and it is great for what it cost.

BTW: Nice work on the door panels. I have an 05 STI and am trying to fit a 6.5 3 way set up in there. I ordered a set of 04 door panels (same as yours) to modify.

I recommend a Ryobi BT3100.It's $300 at home depot with a $50 mail in rebate.
That's what I personally use, beautiful cuts. And it can handly large rip cuts.2 year warranty.
Another good choice that comes with a router table and many options for extensions.

Thanks. they were a pain to get finished but they didnt turn out too bad.

harbor frieght has a couple fairly large table saws for a decent price, I can say yay or nay on the quality though.

I like the jet table saws they have a lowes, pretty nice. Probably a bit out of price range though.

Another thing, at least for me, I only have a 30" fence and it drives me nuts, I preferr a 52" but 30" will get you by, if you plan on making any large enclosures anything smaller will make you wanna cry.

HF has some good deals, but not on table saws...

Very poor surface and by the time you actually get the saw to perform, you will wish you had spent more money. ( I know)
