t.v monitor suggestion on mounting

what are you driving? usually when an overhead monitor is mounted you only make holes in the headliner and backing. you never drill holes in the roof. there are little mounting clips/brackets that are mounted above the headliner/backing and the screws go through the plastic base of the monitor into those clips/brackets.

i have installed a few overhead monitors and usually there are some support bars that hold the roof and healiners up. You can usually mount to those. Sometimes you got to fabricate a custom bracket that will span between those metal supports. take your headliner out and you will see what i mean.
