System Upgrade Time

Pretty much set on 2 12" type r's

Still up in the air on the amp, trying to decide between a T10001BD and a

Hi-Fonics BXi1608D

I know the T10001bd puts out around 1400wrms and is a good amp, but its $100 more, it seems like alot of people are using the hi fonics stuff so does anyone have any bad experiences with them?

Second thing i need an opinion on is the box.

My plan is to build a ported box

WxHxD

36x16x19 (As big as i can fit)

giving ~2 cube's to each sub, id chamber the box off and run 2 ports tuned to ~34HZ

Box would be made out of 3/4 MDF.

Am i going to need any additional bracing or anything ?

no, you wont need any additional bracing. It wouldnt hurt, but wont be necessary.

The type-R's can take upwards of 800RMS a piece. I would get an amp that can do 1500-2000RMS, and set your gains accordingly (learn how to set gains properly).

Hifonics 2008, Sundown SAZ1500, Audioque 2200, are some amps that will do well, hifonics being the budget, and sundown and audioque being some solid amps.
