System Upgrade 2 Mag 15's

Currently I am runnig two Cerwin Vega V-max 12's on a RF T10001BD in a false floor in my Mustang. Looking to do some upgrading in the next couple months. My goal is to do at least mid 40's. I want it to be loud and low. My current setup did a 139.7 a few weeks ago on the TL so it's got to be at least louder than that //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I'm thinking about doing 2 Mag 15's in a wall ported at 30 but not sure I can come up with the cubes for it. Pretty sure I can squeeze 7 cubes out of the backseat. and I would be running each one with about 1k RMS from 2 Rockford T10001BD amps. Would 7 cubes be enough for these beasts with 1k RMS to each? I can honestly say I have no experience at all with the Mags. I have read a lot about how low and loud they get so thinking about trying them if you guys think I can pull the box off and get mid 40's with it on 2k RMS.

I dont know about Mags specifically, but 7cubes gross usually isn't enough for a pair of 15's ported.

That is a hair small... but you can get away with it if that is net box volume after port and sub displacement. If that is gross, then it is not sufficient.

like everyone else is saying, if that is 7 cubes after all displacements (net), you'll be alright.

if he cant fit 2 15" mags in 7 cubes gross, how could he fit an 18, which would need about that space, net?

that would be pretty sweet. i loved my 12 and 15" mags.

not all 12's are created equal...

double power, get more spl based subs, up the electrical. you have to optimize. people are doing 150's with single 12's and 4kw worth of amps. there are lots of options around.
