System for '15 Corolla

Hey everyone, looking to do an almost complete upgrade of all the audio in my car. Looking for a entry/mid level audio set up for daily use that will be better than the stock system. Want to keep the factory radio if possible.

Looking to do the upgrade over the year. Budget around $1000 for a complete system (Sub, Enclosure, Amp, Component sets). My car has 6 audio. Looking for a single or double 12" Sub, since I'll do using the trunk every now and then. Looking for more Sound quality then loudness.

Type of Music:

Mainly Hip-Hop/RnB, and EDM, but a bit of everything now and then.

That's a small alternator. If you don't plan on dropping another $500+ keep the power under 1000 watts total.

I would do a MS-8 and have it power all the stock speakers($500). 500 watt sub amp($200), knuconceptz 4awg OFC amp kit($70), HDS2

actually man, corollas have very little power draw from everything else, it can easily handle 1000 watts with the big 3.

TCs have the camry engine dont they? I did a system for my buddy's 13 corolla just a few weeks ago, had a bxi 1610d on two c2 audio 15s sealed. Dmm set for 1200 and didnt drop below 12.3 on idle and at 1.5k-2k rpm, it was a steady 13.5. Only did the big 3

Dropping to 12.3 is bad mmkay. I think it was the Camry motor. So the Corolla will be even worse.

we dont play systems while idling so it doesnt matter.

Ive got a 94 camry and it has the big 3 and ill get 12.3 or a lil less on full tilt idle when a 1800watt system. So evidence for whomever.

Forget this nonsense of reciting observations of vehicles other than what the OP owns. If you want to push the limits of the stock alternator you need to optimize all of the power circuit. Since you want to sound good above getting loud there is no need to buy 1,000W+ of amplifier power. With efficient speakers and a low tuned ported enclosure you could stay well under 1,000W and have a grand ol' time with a wide range of music.

I went with a tline and went from 2krms @1ohm to 600rms@2ohm. 30% louder with one 10" and nearly 0 voltage drop......
