i cant figure out how to make my 900.4 play lowpass. i have an 8 inch l7 connected to amp1 (ch. 1&2) and nothing connected to Amp2(ch 3&4). im running an N1 or N2 headunit (cant remember which) i also have an SXRC controller. i ve read the instruction book at least 5 times and still cant get this ***** to play low pass. pointers?

What do you mean play lowpass? Are you looking for notes lower than 20hz or just filtering out the higher notes?

You might have plugged the RCAs into the wrong output on the back of your headunit. Check the settings on the headunit as well.

check your high pass settings as well, with the SX amps you can't set them too close it won't let you. What are your settings for high pass, low pass, and crossover slopes. I have a sx600.2 and a sx1250.1 with the SXRC, great setups. Love how tweakable they are.

rcas are legit the install is all straight. now matter which direction i go on hpf or lpf 20-20k it still plays full range. i could have the lpf at 80-90 or whatever and still hear highs.

Check the crossover slopes, if they are set for 0db then they won't do anything. I think I have mine set for 18/db. set your HP at box tuning if ported or as low as possible with a low slope if sealed. LP at whatever sounds good to you with a mid range slope (anywhere from 12 to 24 db,)

Your deck is a 2V preout (after a 2 second google search), set gain range for 2 volt and gain to the high end (don't remember what numbers it uses), basically what that does is lets the amp know 1-2v, and the actual gain setting lets it know that it's at the high end of that range.
