SX18 and Hifonics Brutus 1500 best value StreetBeater setup?

I am hopefully switching vehicles from my Explorer to a Ford Excursion next. I haven't measured one yet, but I should be able to fit a decent sized enclosure in the very rear. I was thinking if I could get around 8 cubic foot total of going with a single RE SX18 with possibly a Hifonics Brutus 1500 on it. For a grand total of around $600, is there a better combination for this amount of space and money? I've been looking a while, and it seems like a good combo...I thought about doing something unusual like 6-8 RE 8's, but I don't know if it would really be worth the trouble over the single 18. RE doesn't list the xmax of the SX's, I know that the 8's would have a cone area advantage, but I don't know if they have the xmax to actually stay ahead of the SX18 in total output. Six 8's are the same price as the single 18...

RE had a sale for the RE8's. Buy 5 get one free. It comes out to $284 shipped to CA for me. Also you should research the Excursion. I have a lot of room in my Expedition, but with the 3rd row, the box can only be 12 inches deep and it tapers up along the back of the seat.

Get the 18" SX. thats what setup im going to run in my 03 Explorer sport. I want to know if sounds really good. Im gunna probably do 5 cu/ft ported to 35 hz. Or i could go 2 18"s and take out my second seat. So i could do 10 cu/ft for the both of them. I love my SX now. But its only taking 1000 watts. and its only a 12".
