sx1250 or zx1200 enough for 2 kicker l7 12" ?????

idid read on that site and i still didnt get it, i just need someone to explain it to me in easyer words, like 5 words or less to explain it
its not like i dont want to learn, i just dont get it why should i get 4? why not 2? etc i dont know what that is
i'm just gonna wait for squeak to handle this one..//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

oh squeaky, where for art thou??

you're best bet is to just go to bcae1.com and read there for a few months. maybe a few weeks minimum. get a better understanding of what you're dealing with and get to kno the terms used.

not beign a jerk, but spending 2 minutes there will not help you with anything. it'd be harder and more confusing for us to try explaining it to you when it's right there in front of you to read over and over and to take in, to study, and learn it.

not being an *** but we can't help you if you don't even kno what we're talking about..

k, i got everything but the voilcoil+ohm, i still dont get what they are

It sounds kinda weird because each of the L7 12" can take 1500/750 so together wouldnt it be 3000/1500? right? with a sx1250.1 total of 1400 like u said, how is that suppose to be enough? I'm sure they wont blow the subs up but it sounds like its too low for the subs, i dont know. If its just good then im goin with it

Main part im trying to get answered is, l7 12 2ohm or l7 12 4ohm i dont know what that is? i read the site it says someting about the resistance to electrical flows so is that suppose to mean the SPL limit? higher the bigger?

no man.

and ignore peak power. rms is all you need to look at. it's 750 each so you need an amp that puts out at least 1500+ (and the 06 L7s can handle shit tons more).

and get 2 of the DVC 4 OHM woofers and wire to 1 ohm. check the wiring sticky to see how to do that.

and these kicker amps are rated to put out 1400+ rms. you won't kno til you look at the bench sheet the amp comes with.

and spl limit has nothing to do with ohms/resistance.

the kx1250.1 is perfect for them anyways. but if i were you, i'd have a shop install it all cuz if you don't kno anything, you won't kno how to set the gains and blow your stuff.

like what kind of gains? just dont blast it up all the way?

when i turn it on its not like im going to turn the volume all the way up to blow it out, if i keep it at a decent volume would anything happen?

cuz its not like im entering a show to show it off.. all my friends have a system and i put money they have no clue on how to set gains, they just brought the parts and let the shop put it together... they just play the subs regular without putting it too high or too low just in the middle

thats why i want to know what u mean by gains

the gains on the amp is to level-match the output of the headunit. even at low-moderate listening levels if you have the gain all the way up, it'll clip the amp/distort and most likely fry the amp and or the sub.

there's a proper way to do this. read the gain setting tutorial stickied in the electrical section.

Kicker S12L7 12" 4ohm

Kicker S12L7 12" 2ohm

so i should get the 2ohm?

amp - kicker sx 1250.1 good enough for both subs?

(after this im set)

!!!! amp is good from what i heard,

SUB - 2 Kicker S12L7 06 (2ohm or 4ohm dunno..)

AMP - SX 1250.1 (can handle both of em right?)

HU - G6 Kit Stock, SPL

Wiring - Kicker Brand, Shop 'll take care of it

just need to know the 2ohm or 4ohm

lemme look up specs real quick and i'll get back to ya on it.

stock headunit?

i was on the other forum asking the same question and the guy told me the same thing. ill prolly go with the 4..

yeah i made a topic about the HU too.. im just all about SPL so i was thinkin im not going to waste 200-400 on a HU just for some sq controls..

it may help, but i dont think it would make that big of a difference, or im missing something here too

an aftermarket hu isn't all just sq. it also has more controls to fine tune you're settings esp the lower frequency range for your bass/lows.

plus alot cleaner signal for the amps to take in, and better pre-out voltages means better sensitivity/level-matching
