Sx or XXX amp?

Personally I would grab up the Directed 1100d refurb at ikesound.....$219 plus shipping, great deal on a great amp.

Would a Brutus 1500 be too much for a 15"sx. The sub takes 1000 @ 2ohms and thats what this amp puts out.

Are there anyother amps I should look at for the 15" re sx?

if it helps you i love the way that my xxx sounds. it fills you with enough bass in one minute to last you 2 days!!! the sq is right down to the tip. outcast - ghetto musik is no match at throwing the xxx off, it just can't

for the 12" SX....RE said to go with the BX1000D so thats what i have...they said the 1500 is too powerful for the 12...but the 15 would probably be alright but i'd call em up and ask em 2 be sure

they said 1500 watts is too powerful cause they dont know if your a novice to audio or a pro. they are tryin to save themself some grief if problems happen due to inexperience. the sx has the same vc as the xxx, so it can handle about the same power, plus the fact that your not gonna be sending it a full 1500 with the brutus AND you will never reach it without 14.4 volts. you will be safe with the 1500.

audioholic: they are 290 for the 15". not sure of the 12"
