Sx or XXX amp?

Hi I am trying to put a system together for my Civic. I have currently found two subs I like. If you have any other sugestions there welcome also. This is gona be more of a Everyday install for a decent Sq but I want it to get loud because I like bass. So basically a decent sound quaility is wanted over spl but I want it to remain loud. I can get the Sx for 200 dollars is this a good price for a 12. How much do the XXX run for a 12? Also what kinda of amp would you recomend for either speaker and also What type of box? I was also wonder how the amp wire would be done and what the ohm rating would be thanks.

If u get a Hifonics amp. Alls you have to do is run the 1 set of (+,-) to 1 side of the sub. And wire the other (+,-) to the other side. Its very simple. My SX sounds very nice. Espically when it hits low notes. Id go with a ported box if you really want to be loud. Also depending on how much space you would like to take up in your car.

Measure it. Then take ur measurments. (Length , Width , Depth) then subtract 3/4" inch. That will be ur internal dimensions. my Best bet is for you to find someone that knows their shit in ohio, or IN. Give them Dimensions have them Figure out a good Box design with a port. A person with some good knowledge about RE. Then pay them to build it. carpet it etc.

Good luck dude. SX's are badass btw. Get a Hifonics 1000D they arent bad priced. ikesound they are like 260 shipped or something close to that. Nice amp. I have one.

You can surprisingly fit a lot of cubes in that trunk without glassing. Im planning to get close to 6 cubes with room left to spair in my civic. I think you can have 3 cubes ported and have lots of room left. I can take pics of how my trunk is and send it to you if you want.

$200 for a new SX is a steal. If its new. They are what, $360 new from RE..? And the RE products hold their value as well or better than any other brand of subs Ive seen lately. Id buy a 12" SX for $200 in a heartbeat, if I needed a new sub that is.

And a Hifonics BX1000D can be found for around $200 NIB on ebay, one of the best bang for your buck amp lines currently available.

Well 1500 watts is slightly overpowering an SX. I think most people would tell you its fine, but I feel I should mention it anyway. 1500 would probably be fine, but 1000 watts would still be great if you dont want to risk it.
