Switching subs in same box?

What I have is the RE audio "Jam Box"

My gf got me a SRi for Christmas since she saw me talking about it. I just wanted to slap it in the same box to see how it sounded till I can get a custom box made. The mounting holes are in a larger diameter, so Do I need to fill the holes if they dont get cut away if I need to larger diameter hole? (I'm pretty sure it'll still fit).

Also, since I'm a broke a$$, could I put both the RE10 and SRi 10 in a dual ported box together and get decent results or should I get another SRi?

a quick fix for you if your subs fit in the same old box measure your woofers from the basket to the bottom of the magnet then add 2 extra inches this will tell you the depth of the box for those subs

That has nothing to do with what he's asking.

OP, fill the holes with wood glue that I'm sure you have sitting arounf if you plan on building your own box(or just use something else that will harden and seal the holes). Then just mount the new sub whereever you want. And yes, definitely wait until you get another SRi.

Awesome, thank you. That's pretty much what I figured, but wanted to make sure.

Think I'll be hittin you up sometime in the next month or so from some enclosure designs //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Gotta get a box for the SRi's and later for some subs to go in a little chevy aveo haha. If I can get my girlfriend to give up some trunk space I wanna see how much cone will fit in that little car
