Switch to AQ a solution?

Well like a week or so ago i had a thread about adding another sub for added bass. This was in regards to 2 12inch CVX's i'm running off of a kicker kx1200.1

Well after getting some good responses going with 3 subs was no longer appealing, and 4 subs seemed a hastle to. So i saw some threads regarding AQ subs and from the responses they sound like really good subs, and i checked out their site and they look like very solid subs.

So i was thinking about upgrading to 2 HDC312. Just from them being of overall better quality, and the fact that they take more power, will this upgrade give a somewhat noticealbe increase in bass? I'm not asking for a ridiculous increase, but at least a minor increase. And also from reading these subs do get rather loud, and still have decent sound quality.

And just incase someone asks, i was thinking about keeping my KX1200.1, and just adding a 2nd one and running 1 per sub.

HDC's will take a 2500.1 each. You could keep your 1200.1 and get 2 SDC2.5's as that would be a nice combo. I'd really consider giving the HDC's more then 1200watts each...

Did 2 15" SDC's in a pathfinder a few weeks ago. If you're near Six Flags you can stop by for a listen.

Wow, the HDC 12's will seriously take a 2500.1 a piece? That's just insane, considering the chart on their site says 1000 rms. That's insanely underrated. I thought 1200 watts a piece would've been nice haha. I'm in Park Forest, that's in the south burbs, like 20 mintues or a lil more south of Chicago. I've got a friend that stays in the Great America area, so if i visit them anytime soon, i'll try to get in contact with you.

There a few people giving there hdc3 subs 3000rms to each sub. Clean signal. I have 2 15 hdc315 and i only got 1000rms to each and there loud. But soon ill be giving then 2200rms each.

Hmm.... interesting..... Now will the SDC's accomplish the same thing i was looking at the HDC's to do in the grand scheme of things if you look at my original post. If so, i'll take a look into those. Or maybe i'll just go insane and get the HDC's and look at upgrading my amps at a later date. No problem with leaving myself wiggle room right??

I think i'm gonna start saving up soon so i can make the switch sometime this year hopefully, cuz i'm a college student, so yeah.... gotta save when i can haha.

I've never heard the CVX's, so I can't compare. I know I was rather surprised by the 2 15" SDC install I did though. Hits low and hard for a budget set up....

Hit me up if you're ever up this way...

Alright, i'll be sure to do that if i'm up your way.

Get the big boys and get over it --- Very decisive advice, lol, sometimes a nudge in a direction is needed haha

the hdc3s will take way more power for whenever you upgrade i don't think the sdcs can take too much more than they are rated
