Bingo right hereThe Sundown does not have a clipping indicator correct? You may have been clipping it and not known it. You will be louder when you clip:fyi:

I did reset the battery but I went back and put it back to all correct settings.do you disconnect your battery? i know my head unit resets its setting ever time i disconnect my battery.
I messed around with the AQ but couldnt get anymore power out of it without the clip light blinking.thisand did you adjust anything on the AQ?
I wanna say 3volts which sucks I know...I will go check (I just checked and its only 2.5 preamp voltage...Im running a jvc dvd indash)Correct nothing wrong with it at all. If you are screwed on space why not look into the Alpine pdx 1000. Thing will **** near fit in both hands. You can also bump the fuses up on those to do more power. I was looking at these but those things are mighty pricey. Havent seen what they go for on here though.
How many volts are your pre out on the head unit??
I dont have a meter so I adjust the volume to the max when I play it and then I adjust all by ear slowly until it sounds like it should. How did you set your gain when using the Sundown? Do the same for the AQ.
May have been but I doubt it due to the sundown being turned down. The Sundown does not have a clipping indicator correct? You may have been clipping it and not known it. You will be louder when you clip:fyi:
^^This. I have a feeling that mine does that sometimes but I do have one of the reverse gain knobs..And if you have a DMM (digital Multi-Meter) try this tutorial: http://www.blazerforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=8991
It really shouldn't take too long to do it and I 99.9% guaruntee that the amp isn't clipping though the indicator light says it does.
But for sure give me a call or if I don't answer shoot me a text and I'll respond pretty quickly, I'm in class most the day.

^^and this. The AQ amp may just not be doing well on your reactive load at 2 ohms -- many low impedance Class-D amps won't do so hot when wired above nominal.
You may want to look into a 2 ohm amp.

This is the man you want to talk to //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gifThe AQ1200D will give you 870 unclipped watts at 2ohm. Most people are used to running amps well into clipping 10-20% without knowing it. The clipping indicator on the AQ amps is very accurate.
