Super Cheap 6.5" Subs

There are quite a few cheap ( $20 or so ) 6.5" subs out there, form Lanzar, Pyle, Boss etc. Then the price point jumps up to the Tang Band, then up again to the Kicker etc.

Anyone have experience with the lower end ones? I'm thinking of experimenting with a pair in my rear doors.

Thanks, but these cheapo Pyle (remember when Pyle Drivers were the ish? Im old.) are $16 each shipped. Here they are on 1000 watts.

They are pyles of ish, this is known. I'm not competing, I'm experimenting. I think I can build little enclosures in my rear doors for them. If they make a noticeable difference, maybe I will upgrade them.

This is in a 2013 WRX sedan. As much as I would like to put in a big box, I find myself with 4 people and a stuffed trunk fairly often. I already have a Kicker L78 in a glass box in the corner:

This is being run off the sub section of this little Lanzar 3 channel POS, which I am actually impressed with. Good little amp.

However, I am upgrading the sub amp to an old school Planet Audio that should give me around 450RMS to the Kicker.

Then I'm going to use the Lanzar to power my front stage and the 6.5" subs in the rear doors.

Conventional? No. Fun experiment? For me anyway //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
