Just on example, XFLs can be had for about the same price as a new SA-12 and has almost twice the power handling.

And the debate begins... Ill start it off with tantrics. I believe tantrics are reasonably priced, comparable subwoofers.

Likewise with DC, AQ, Fi and SSA.

Yes theres lots of comparable companies in quality and price although jacob puts out great products the market is flooded with ppl trying to get their piece of the pie

IA Leathal Injections are better than the Sundown SA's for close the same money (worth the little extra $), not to mention the are made in the U.S.A. not China like the Sundown.

Same money? IA's new LIs are 1000w drivers for $259/piece.

You can still get the older ones, 600 RMS, for $209, about the same price and they are better than the SA in my opinion. But even the new ones for about $50 more than a SA would be well worth it.

With all the quality woofers being made today, Sundown is low on the list of subs that I would concider.
