how would i get that at 2 ohms?
Cause strapped each amp would see a 1ohm load, therefore putting out 1500w each (rated //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif).

never strapped amps before.. is it tricky?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif
Nope, very simple actually. I took a post from Jacob's sundown forum on SSA showing how to strap them, quoted below. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I hooked up the wiring on a pair and snapped some actual photos to help you out:

The master amplifier gets the input from the head-unit and a mono RCA from "BR Out" connected.

The slave amplifier ONLY gets "BR In" connected from the master.

ALL controls are handled on the master, setting anything on the slave is not necessary.

This picture should be pretty self explanatory.

* The slave takes the "-" connection(s)

* The master takes the "+" connection(s)

* The "-" terminals of the amps are hooked together.

You don't need to use both sets of "+" on the amps. They are there for flexibility. While you should always connect both "-" terminals on the amps together using large wire as general procedure it is not absolutely necessary to use both sets of "+" terminals. They are connected together internally in parallel.

When strapped the MASTER controls ALL functions of both amps.

so run 2 saz1500-d strapped wired at 2 ohms, with the batteries i have, upgrade my alternator to 260 amp, run some 1/0 ga and i should be good? Any other suggestions? Also where is a good place to get these

Good place to get these would be seeing if there is a local dealer around your area first. They can usually offer you the best price and you can have it instantly.

If no local dealer, you can buy them new from soundsolutionsaudio.com, or you can pick up refurbished amps from Chris over at dB-r.com.

Just getting a HO alt likely won't do it for you, your going to need at least a decent batt. Also, depending on your stock a HO may not be needed. I have a powermaster d3100 in the back and a d1200 up front, stock alt and with the Sundown 3K wired at 1.3 ohms I drop to 13.5V at full tilt. Also running 300W for the front stage.

I have factory alt and batt. So if i got a battery to replace mine under the hood and than a bigger one for the back I would be ok? If i got 2 Audioque 1200s I could strap them for 2400 rated watts at 2 ohm. Would this be a good setup? Or go with the sundowns?

im goin to get another batt so i will have my stock one, and 2 in the back, along with the HO alt but im deciding on amps... where is a good place to get an alt? i drive a 08 ford escape 2.3L 4 cyl
