Sundown Z15 v.2 Producton Unit - First One

Looks like a completely new spider? With different style leads on it?
It is -- these spiders are for the Z v.2 especially.

NS v.2 will use the same as the NS v.1 on most sizes ( //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif )

Beautiful specs, Jacob. I'm also digging the curvilinear cone as SPLaudio pointed out.

This thing is poised to sound great and get loud.

Well done.

A few big builds coming up for these as soon as they start shipping -- so keep your eyes peeled //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
As soon as you can get me two 12s built they're going in the Explorer off a pair of saz-3500s for SBN. Getting ready for some featherweight BassBoxing.

boy times have changed yrs ago would be in middle weights with 2 amps and 2 subs.

jake want to know direct swap in ur jeep v1 vrs v2. u got to be curious too...

So far I've used 4000-watts clamped on it -- 153.0 dB score.

In my particular box 2 spiders would be louder -- but I think that is pretty good for the stock setup //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Got up to 149.9 dB with 1420 watts (less than rated RMS).

That cone should help with off-axis beaming issues. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

Those motors are sexy though. And talk about cooling! They're like huge industrial fans when you're testing them on the test bench. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

And if you're asking about an under-hung version with dual 1 Ohm coils for "Sound Quality" at 1500+ watts, you're not really asking about "Sound Quality" in its pure form //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif Sounding really good while doing 150+ dB is what the current stock NS and Z versions already accomplish without modifying the motor/coil type and/or configuration.
