Fi X = GCON? It would appear they're almost identical. If what you say about Fi being the buildhouse for SSA is true, then I'd venture to say they're the same driver. Slight physical magnet differences can account for the variances in the T/S parameters. The X is cheaper than the GCON by about $40.

That answers that...lol. Since you're "here" what would you recommend given what's been talked about?

Though in the case of say the SSA Evil and the Fi SP4, they are way too close parameter wise to say they aren't essentially the same woofer. That being said I have BtLN2's and I wish I had Zcons

Well, months after the fact, 1 job and 1 new career later, I finally made a purchase. I had a lot of sh*t going on the last couple months and didn't have the money to spend on a pair of subs. I ended up with a set of Funky Pups rebadged as Fi X 12s.

I don't know if they were or not. I haven't read anything about them. You could try to contact the previous owner of ID and ask, but I don't know how much he really can or wants to discuss it. That's how I confirmed the TAs were the same as ID12V3s.
