sundown , soundqubed and american bass opinions

I had my heart set on soundqubed hds200 but I heard some negative feedback on power handling, and, build quality. so now I'm stuck between 2 12 hds200, sundown ev2, or american bass XD. also if anhome has managed to get 2 15s in the trunk of a grand prix 99-03 body style, without fold down seats, and can shoot me a few ideas of how I can do so, then make that 2 15s instead of 12s

For that trunk space..Id run a pair of XFL 10s or a pair of HDS300 tens. You can get that box built to specs and ported correctly and sound fantastic depending on the supply/amp provided and some deadning done. Im running a pair of HDS310 dvc2 ohm in my CRV, and sounds amazing for the price of the subs.No issues with them at all.Excellent run with the XFL 12s without any issues also.Took a long time to find some subs at the time to satisfy me.

AB TnT subs are nice sub too, if you like the lower powered subs..I dont think that you will have any issues with the HDS200 series myself.Warranty is in affect up to 1 year.

Why so much electrical for such little power handling subs? You couldve kept your stock electrical for what 1200w?
bad alt and battery. I will go bigger when I have the money for it, figured I'd just get some power now. 1400 rms had my lights dimming like crazy

I'll look into those. no replies about sundown though, figured I'd have a few people jumping at my throat about them

Being that all those are mid-price subs, not many here really take advantage of lower price subs.

They all are very good subs and can handle rated and more if in the correct box.

Are you justified on 12's/15's?

well 18s are out of the question, I'd do 3 or 4 10s once I get the money for em. haven't thought much on 8s. would love to throw a 6.5 in a t line for schitts n giggles though

Why wait until needed to make sure the electrical is adequate lol? I did the same thing better to be running more than you need than need more than you have. Also this really depends on what you want. I had limited trunk space in my 2001 Alero (almost identical to the Grand Am) and went sealed. People were all oh man why would you do that just go smaller or single blah blah blah. I tell you what that's about as loud as that Alero needs without Shaking every fking thing in it loose. Plus the SQ on them is ****. Maybe you could go sealed with a sub like a level 3 or some Tantrics stepping up to some better subs and sealed might be fine depending on your needs spl/sq wise.

I considered sealed but I just don't know about it. I like my moonroof rattling bass haha I'm much more of an spl kinda guy. and I've only got 250 to spend on subs right now

point taken. it's just a pain in the a$$ where I live to find a decent job.
Purchase 1 sub at a time and learn to build your own box or find local builders.

If doing one sub at a time try not to over power the sub or clip the signal.

If you can keep up with that then you can add on as you go instead of rushing.
