Sundown saz3000 or crunch gp3000d pro

I wounder How many GP's have been sold. And how many of them had the FET problems. I havent read to many complaints on dbdrag forum about their quality though. Just on here. And thats only a few ppl here and there. Seeing how many they have sold.
Do you know what or who db-r is?

Here, I'll show you.

Maybe you should read through this thread and see why their quality is so much worse. You get what you pay for.

Okay have scimmed through thread. Seen most of the same ppl post about the amp. And just about the Fets going bad from vibration. Customer service. Ahh. I cant complain about maxxsonics. I emailed about a maxx link got an email back within an hour and then got the maxx link within two days of ordering it.

So yeah Im not convinced that its that bad of an amp (GP) I have seen them in action and ppl have pulled some good numbers with them on the TL. I own one and I havent had any problems with it at all. Now yes mine is not mounted on the box but DUH thats not really a good idea anyways. And if it does break I got it used anyways so Whippy do da I wouldnt be able to get it repaired anyways and I wouldnt care too either.

Side note I only use mine at 2 somthin ohms on one sub just daily use.

Ha, yes Chris. I don't call people by their first names often on threads just so everyone knows who I am referencing too.

Yeah, I am not saying the Crunch is a bad amp by any means. It is a solid amp at that price point for sure. It just pales in comparison to the Sundown, which should be expected as it is a few hundred bucks more. Of course everyone is going to hate on Crunch when put up against Sundown, a very solid amplifier with great customer service and warranty.

I never understood why ppl do this. To compare two amps when they cost different prices. Honestly though. Dont they make just about the same power though. I seen power outputs on the crunch to just over 3k on 12volt setups and 5 to 6k on 16volt setups. Tests from ppl I know and trust and seen power tests on the dbdrag forums on them.

But still not getting it. If one costs 800 compare it to one that cost 800. If another costs 400 compare it to one that costs 400.

I have only heard of one breaking, thats because he had it mounted on the box and the fets fell off from vibration.

Costs is a big factor, what i was doing with the thread is seeing which is better for the price. Is the gp worth all of the $449 shipped or is the sundown worth all of the $800 shipped. The best for the money.

the sundown is definately worth all of the 800$, in my eyes, if i owned the company i would be selling for more then that. they are beasts and are worth every penny.

as for the crunch, i cant really comment as i have never owned one, but from what i have heard and the problems i have seen them come into. i would say they are more worth around 300-350 range.

You have links to back up the problems they have?

Well then in that case. Yes the Crunch GP3000d Is worth the 449 dollars. And you really only see one place selling it for that much other sites sell it for over 500. Think an amp that can do 3k rms for under 500 is a good deal.

And I cant agree with the statment that they have all kinds of problems. I only read that they have the vibration FET problem from well being mounted on the box. Easy fix DONT mount it to the box... I dont have mine mounted to a box and its doing fine never had a problem with it..Go on dbdrag forum and search GP on there. Only place I see ppl having problems with them is on this site.

google works wonders, any thread that has had enough hits will show up there.
im not about to take an hour of searching to please a member who cant tell quality when its right in front of his eyes

werd!

For the money the gp3000d pro is a good amp. I owned two of them and I didn't have any complaints, very strong amp for the money! I was getting around 5200 watts out of one on a 16 volt battery bank. As far as maxxsonics customer service, it's not the greatest. Just my opinion.
