Sundown saz3000 or crunch gp3000d pro

i tried to make a comparison between the sundown and crunch amp and got flamed, well not actually, the person talking crap made himself look like a douche.

both amps will put out rated power, sundown is more "high quality" thats why its worth the price. but if your looking for the best bang for the buck, then the crunch is your best bet.

I have a Crunch GP 3000 Pro and love it. I had it hooked to 2 L7 15's and it smoked them. It has never gotten hot and I've never had a problem with it. $ 4 $ you cant beat it. I seen on the Db Drag Forum someone tested one at 17 volts and it put out well over 4k

The sundown will consistantly do over 6k at 17v. Test it yourself and become a believer.

My problem is I cant afford it lol If I buy the Sundown then I cant by a Sub but if I buy the Crunch I can still afford a good sub I am sure thats what alot of people are thinking when deciding I guess your right though if your looking to run around 6k but I am not 3-4k is plenty for me

actually it is like 6200 watts at 17 volts. It is also unregulated, more power you throw on them the more watts.

The crunch was probably heating up x2o's sub because of clipping. I am pretty sure the power supply transformers in the GP3000DPro are smaller than the ones in the SAZ-3000D.

As for the AQ3500.... Just like the crunch, the FETs are mounted at 90 degrees with the spring clips. I make a living repairing 90 degree mounted mosfet amps.... Thanks to all the factories who mount the FETs at 90 degrees. The AQ3500 may in fact be stronger than either one of these amps but will it last beyond the warranty period is the real question....

All that being said, I personally think, not sure who cares really:

1. If you can only spend $450 or so, then buy the gp3000d pro.

2. If you can spend $700 or so, buy the SAZ-3000D or the AQ3500 depending on if you want your amp to last longer than just past the warranty period. Depending on how much vibration the amp is subjected to, the 90 degree mosfet amp without some upgraded, careful, hand-soldering like we do on them here at dB-r, may only last a couple months before you break the legs off the mosfets, and it's downhill from there and you are looking at $300-$500 repair bills unless you can get the company or dealer or whoever to cover your 90 degree amp under warranty.

Don't come here and say that the gp3000d pro is equivalent to a SAZ-3000D, it's not, in power output, reliability or warranty. You get what you pay for. I don't know why people think there are just 100's of Sundown Fanboys out there.... Most of the people I see recommending the Sundown amps to you guys DO actually have them and have run other gear in the past and are very happy with their equipment and just sharing their enthusiasm for it. Why does that make them a "fanboy"?

Just a bit of advice, you guys would be down right crazy not to throw the AQ3500 into this. Its is in my testing stronger than those mentioned. By well, quite a bit. Makes a ton of power for daily applications and even a crap load more for comps. We ran 4 AQ HDC310s aluminum coil off of these strapped, and pulled a 158.2db on music for a 30 sec average. These amps are extremly powerful, reliable and affordable. So do yourselfs a favor and go to the AQ site and check them out. The same set up with 4 3500s and 4 AQ HDC310s burped 161. Do your homework and make the decesion best for you, but dont make the mistake and pass these up.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
I'd like to see those numbers. Prove it. Just out of curiosity.

I was about to make a very similar post, just as I did in another thread. The sundown fanboy club exists for good reason. You don't see a crunch fanboy club running around....scratch that, you do. Until their amp breaks and they buy the sundown like they should have in the first place.

x2, there is a reason why sundown is so high praised and i have ran many amps before (never the gp3000d), but many others and sundown is by far the best, most well built amp i have ever ran, and it will take almost a miracle for me to get off the bandwagon.

there amps are amazing, and i will soon find out about there subs
