Sundown SAZ-1500D *PICS*

The reason I say this Jacob is cause Kicker does just that.........makes them for a good 1,2ohm load do full power which is most people run daily.
I think it would be a great too see some of the smaller amps in the 1500 range to do some back to back comparisons.
The Kicker prolly is a damn good amp, no doubt about that. If I had a dual 1ohm sub, I woulda been all over it. I didnt wanna chance it not working for me.

I understand that, but Kicker does not warranty 1 ohm loads. Compare the 1 ohm output of the ZX1500.1 to the 0.5 ohm on the SAZ-1500D -- and even then, you are talking warranty vs. not... unless I misunderstand Kicker's warranty policy.

The ZX line is a great line, don't get me wrong. I have heard nothing but good about them even from guys tha I really trust about feedback. Either way, I'd love to see comparisons at all loads done... I'm very interested in how my product stacks up.

What I dont understand is this is claimed as an SQ amp, but everyone runs the loads at .5ohms to try and squeeze all the power out of the amp.

For daily beating I bet the kicker pwnz it, even if the sundownz can make more power at low imp it doesnt make it a better amp for most people.

If I wanted to make sick power at a low imp I'd go with a bigger amp

Ill tel you this that its not off far from a 2500.1 at 1ohm daily.
I'll find that hard to believe...unless you have indeed clamped it. But the reason I find this hard is for one...To get your impedance to stay anywhere near 1 ohm, you would have to wire down to .5 (that is unless you have mastered box rise) And more than a few of the Team Kicker guys have said that, that amp doesnt like that much of a load. Second The reason kicker rates their amps at 2, is becuase, they dont gain all that much going from 2 to 1. If you have tested it to be as powerfull as the ZX2500.1 more power to you, and you have a very good box/electrical system.

Take a listen to one. It is a SQ oriented amp, I just overbuilt it for durability so it's stable to lower loads... and hence more power.

I doubt the Kicker owns it, at best there may be a few tenths difference between the SAZ-1500D and the ZX1500.1 daily in either direction. I would like to see testing, I'm not opposed to seeing my SAZ-1500D compared directly to the Kicker.

I did back to back swaps with a 1ohm dcr load..........no doubt it raised up,but so would the 2500.1.

I honestly believe the 2500.1 doesnt have the same gain going from 2 to 1 ohm as the 1500.1 gains more, but is less effiecient.

I doubt there was a 1db loss going from the 2500.1 to the 1500.1 and the same load and same car and same day.

I was actually surprised nonetheless.

I was wondering if you had aim... I would like to discuss some things with you. You can PM your screenname if you got one.

Man those are some nice amps. Wish I had known those were coming down the pipe, I just switched out to Fusion. Can't afford to do so again so soon.... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

SAZ-1500 isnt a 20.1 from what I've seen.

20.1's only shine when you run them on a dead short on a 16v system it seems.... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

These SAZ's are looking mighty tastey.

While we're on the subject of Sundown pics, mine came in right before yours!
