Sundown sa8v3's to the max

I've got 3 sundown sa 8v3's on a scv3000 in a 350z at half ohm...... these subs rated at 500wrms very underrated I've noticed considering there seeing about 1200 a piece thermally they take it..... my problem is they seem to bottom out at full tilt wondering if people have came across this same issue with these subs as I'm considering going to x8's even though the subs are all just a month old would hate to have to already upgrade to the x subs especially since these are thermally taking the power at full tilt without even stinking after 5-6 minutes, what's the deal just wondering if any other bass head running 8's has ran into the issue and what you did to fix it just upgrade to the x's or make the box a tad smaller ?

make the box smaller tuned lower.

Ok thanks that's what I was hoping to hear these 8's impress me I didn't think they could stand up to the power but they have...... 1200 a piece on a 500 watt rated sub is crazy and moving some air in a 350z I might add small hair tricks and floating napkins...... the box has always been .1 cubes bigger than recommended per sub so I'll redo it and build it to spec I used to have sa8v2's on like 1500 watts and found making the box a bit bigger helped them but now that I'm running big power on little 8's they aren't liking the same box I guess!!!

What's a recomended tune for these subs I'm tuned to 34hz decently low already
